An Artist’s Journey

IMG_3945

My name is Mary Negron, and I am a full-time painter living here in beautiful Cumming, Georgia. Some time ago I discovered how exhilarating painting outdoors (Plein Air) could be and now spend most of my time enjoying the many different sides of Georgia.  This state offers such magnificent vistas of the Atlantic coastline, rolling farmlands, waterfalls, lakes, and mountains.

I paint in oil, but my technique originates from my start in watercolor and Japanese ink approaches. I love the social aspect of joining friends and fellow painters at Plein Air festivals or just for more relaxed, self-organized painting days in and around local fields, farms, and towns.

My work has been juried into many Plein Air events, where I’ve been fortunate to earn a variety of awards, including People’s Choice, Quick Paint prizes, and overall show honors. In addition to many private collections, my art has been selected by designers to appear on the sets of television programs.

My paintings are currently available for purchase at Intown Gallery located at the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market. Visit marynegron.com to view more of current projects, workshops, schedule of events, and contact information.

Love and peace, M
